// Nighttime at the Station
“Every life is wasted, what matters is that you’ve wasted it well… and only you can know that.”
20min | Maltese | Short Film
Nighttime at the Station is a poetry film inspired by the work of one of Malta's leading poets, Oliver Friggieri. In his poem 'Il-Lejl f'Dan l-Istazzjon' he depicts a voyager arriving late at the station and watching the last train fade into blackness. Mallia uses this narrative to build on a metaphoric level and explore the themes of childhood, nostalgia, and meaning.
